7/31/08 - Safe Patient Handling Program Update
The Safe Patient Handling Program benefits patients and staff through injury prevention, early ambulation, avoidance of falls, and improved clinical outcomes.
6/18/2008 - New pump cover policy in place

Any pump device, upon completion of use, will be wiped down by nursing, then covered with the brown plastic bag as shown, and transported to Central for processing.
This policy was enacted for our safety and to help provide a way to show what pumps are used, and which are clean.
No pumps will come up from 2nd floor with a bag over them, and none should be returned without a bag covering them.
Thank you for your attention and enactment of this new policy...effective immediately.
