UCSD has the distinction of being the sole local medical partner to the San Diego Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk, the largest cancer fundraising event in the nation.
These are 3 the 50 UCSD staff that yearly volunteer for the event for three days. They then medically care for over 6,000 participants while they walk 60-miles to raise money for the fight against breast cancer. A true endurance nursing event!
These UCSD Regional Burn Unit staff members (along with 12 others) went to Disneyland with a busload of Braveheart Children (burn survivors).
