Explore and experience the passionate care of a diverse patient unit ranging from Intermediate Care down to Tele/medsurg overflow.
Thornton's 2east is a 26-bed inpatient unit (16 IMU, 10 tele/medsurg) which specializes in ICU stepdown, cardiac, cardiac cath, neuro/neurosurgery, general surgery, GU, ortho/spine, oncology/BMT and medsurg.
The unit is unique and challenging, and nurses develop a wide variety of skills. Safe administration of Flolan and Interleulin II has recently been developed and became the unit’s specialty.
