The Driving Forces of Orthopaedics

Bonafide Orthopaedic Nursing Education Symposium is for all healthcare providers (RN, LVN, NA, OT, PT, MSW, Ortho Techs, Students and Case Managers) working with or interested in care of orthopaedic patients.   This fun filled day includes speaker and poster presentations.

Participants will learn current information about:

• Experiences of a NASCAR driver and the evolution of safety in the field.
• Mechanisms of injury in a MVA and subsequent treatment.
• Treatment of Complicated Pelvic Fractures.
• Identification and Treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome.
• Identification and treatment of Traumatic Brain Injuries and associated behaviors
• Rehabilitation from Hospital to Home
• Unintended consequences of legislation in infection control.
• Identification, Prevention and Treatment of DVT.
